The beginning

Growing up in a small farming community in southern Michigan, I learned the "do it yourself" philosophy early — summers on the farm, cold winters spent sewing and crafting. Those years gave me skills and a mindset that would quietly shape everything that came after.

A new path

After high school I pursued higher education, built a career as a physical therapist, and started a family with my husband. We had three beautiful children in a suburban Michigan community.

2008 — She arrived

Our third daughter was born and diagnosed with Trisomy 21 — Down syndrome — at birth. She changed everything. My career focus shifted to meet the needs of our family, and a new chapter began.

2013 — 3*21 Simple Creations

I established 3*21 Simple Creations LLC on Etsy so I could work from home and stay present for my daughter's education. A hobby in metalworking and jewelry fabrication became a business — first in the wedding industry, then expanding into personalized gifts, home décor, and small business items.
